Kristen Azevedo

Kristen Azevedo is a native Angeleno who attended John Thomas Dye and Marlborough School before heading to UC Santa Barbara for her undergraduate degree and UC Hastings for law school. She is the proud mom of two St. Paul students, Karolina and Alessandro, and has worked as an entertainment attorney for nearly 20 years.

Kristen began her career at the boutique entertainment law firm Kenoff & Machtinger before moving into the music industry at Universal Music Publishing Group, where she spent seven years negotiating songwriter and administration agreements and building deep expertise across the music business. She was later recruited to Cutting Edge Group to build the company's first in-house Business & Legal Affairs department, where she oversaw music and corporate acquisitions.

Today, Kristen is Senior Counsel in Netflix's Music Business & Legal Affairs department, a role she's held for nearly seven years, negotiating and drafting agreements for original commissioned music across Netflix's live-action and animated films.

Beyond her career, Kristen is deeply committed to the school communities that have shaped her and her family. She currently serves as 2nd Vice President of the PWC Board at St. Paul the Apostle and is a member of the Alumni Committee at Marlborough School. She's proud to give back to the schools that have played such an important role in her life and to help support the next generation of students.
